Join Us at Portland Mental Health & Wellness
I’m excited to share that at Portland Mental Health & Wellness, we have been continuously developing our training programs over the past nine years. We now offer several new programs at various levels of clinical training. Our approach is rooted in experiential learning, providing regular hands-on opportunities, clinical supervision, mentorship from experienced providers, and support to help you build a professional community with your peers.
New Training Programs
Last year, we launched the QT-BIPOC Therapists Rising Fellowship. This program creates an inclusive and supportive learning environment for pre-licensed counseling, marriage and family therapy, and clinical social work associates who identify as queer, trans, non-binary, gender expansive, Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color. I’m thrilled to welcome our second QT-BIPOC cohort this fall!
We’re also welcoming our first cohort of doctoral psychology interns this year, adding an internship level to our existing training for students and residents pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology. Our program focuses on generalist training in health service psychology, with a strong emphasis on DEAI and culturally-centered training.
Additionally, I’m excited to introduce the Affirm 2STNB Program, which provides innovative wrap-around care to support Two Spirit, transgender, and nonbinary (2STNB) individuals. This program offers affirming spaces and training for students and pre-licensed graduates who identify as 2STNB.
