I see therapy as a way to help people navigate emotional pain and struggles, understand themselves better, and grow personally. It’s also a way to improve relationships with others and the world around us. In my approach, I focus on working together collaboratively and understanding each person in the context of their personality, family, history, culture, society, and daily life.
Depending on a person’s specific needs, therapy can focus on increasing self-awareness and insight, changing behaviors, building more fulfilling relationships, dealing with distressing thoughts and feelings, solving problems, and learning new skills to build paths forward.
I have completed training as a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with experience helping people of various ages and backgrounds with issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, unstable moods, grief, relationship problems, personality challenges, and difficult behaviors.
