Pronouns: She/Her
Bri Absalon, MA (She/Her) is a fourth year practicum trainee, working towards her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Pacific University. Bri has experience working in community mental health, Intensive Outpatient programs, and college counseling settings. She is looking forward to gaining more experience working with Portland’s community at Portland Mental Health and Wellness. Her therapeutic framework encompasses Feminist and Multicultural modalities, as she values meeting clients where they’re at by contextualizing and valuing their unique experiences. Bri is pursuing a career in therapy from her interest in connecting with and understanding humans and walking alongside them as they explore aspects of their identities and relationships with others. She believes that approaching therapy from a Humanistic and Relational lens allows her clients to explore and examine the essential nature of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Bri’s dissertation focused on the impact of Gender-Based Violence on the identity formation in emerging adulthood, and she is passionate about supporting individuals processing different types of trauma from a trauma-informed lens. In her free time, Bri enjoys running, reading, and discovering the best coffee shops in Portland. She is supervised by Brede Parker-Adams, PsyD and Len Kaufman, PhD and she looks forward to meeting you!
