You’ve taken the first step of finding a therapist…what happens next? Choosing who you’d like to support you can be overwhelming, let me tell you a little about myself and you can decide if we might be a good fit.
I am a 1.5 generation Chinese-American cis-het female, born and raised in Portland, with prior experience working in biotechnology and K-12 education. My approach to therapy is equal parts analytical (what are you thinking, what’s going on in your brain) and somatic (how are you feeling, what’s going on in your body), then connect it all to how you’re showing up at school, work or with friends, partners, family, or just life in general.
We might be a good fit if you are:
- Feeling stuck or frozen,
- Experiencing loneliness or isolation,
- Managing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression,
- Exploring identity and/or purpose,
- Wanting support with interpersonal relationships,
- Working on self-compassion.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds with a special interest in working with children of immigrants, Asian American mental health, and women’s health. I work from an integrative, trauma-informed, multicultural lens and believe that you deserve to be seen and heard with respect and without judgment. (And in case you’re interested, my theoretical approach is grounded in Polyvagal Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.)
I’m honored to work with you and hope to be a good match for your therapeutic needs.
