Elena Wadsworth, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

I’m glad you’re here!

I believe therapy is co-creation. You are the expert of your own experiences and my role as a therapist is to help you make meaning of your experiences, thoughts, and objectives.

I see individuals across the lifespan working on anxiety, life transitions, depression, grief, trauma, identity exploration, and self-acceptance. Techniques utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal theory, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Each session is tailored to your goals and needs, working on building coping skills and internal resourcing. Across each approach, I often find the root out our work to be in challenging automatic negative thoughts, and together work on destigmatizing self-judgment and shame.

As a clinical social worker, I use a justice informed approach and bring our shared identities into the space and recognize the impact of differences, cultures, and the systems of oppression in which we all live and operate. My intention as a therapist is to make you feel heard, understood, and safe.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Puget Sound. Prior to joining PMHW, I worked as a mental health therapist and readjustment counselor for combat veterans and sexual trauma survivors.
