Irina Gelman, PsyD, ABPP
Licensed Psychologist, Board Certified in Clinical Psychology
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
I am Board Certified in Clinical Psychology. I enjoy working with adults across the lifespan who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I earned a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Nova Southeastern University, in South Florida, and completed a doctoral internship at Pacific Psychology and Comprehensive Health Clinic (formally Pacific Psychology Clinic) and post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente NW.
Within my specialty area of anxiety disorders, I treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Social Anxiety, Phobias, and Hoarding Disorder. Additionally, I specialize in LGBTQIA++ populations. I utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address these issues, working from a cognitive behavioral (CBT) theoretical framework to help decrease unhelpful behavioral and cognitive patterns, while bolstering more functional behaviors and thoughts. I frequently infuse humanistic and person-centered interventions to meet client needs and facilitate individual growth in a supportive and safe environment.
