Jade Brings Plenty, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, a core belief I hold is that every person has the inherent capacity to transform their lives and become the person they long to be. Whether it’s due to present circumstances or struggles that reach back generations, that may not feel true for you right now. Inner peace, confidence, and self-trust may feel fleeting or unattainable, and seemingly small challenges may feel insurmountable. Part of you may be longing for transformation, while another part of you is weighted with anxiety and self-doubt.
My focus during our work together will be to form a therapeutic relationship that is based on trust, mutuality, and collaboration. I will strive to meet all parts of you with empathy, genuineness, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. Together we can reach your counseling goals by fostering self-empowerment, identify and owning your strengths, and by cultivating self-acceptance and self-compassion.
My therapeutic style is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). My role as your counselor is to act as a facilitator of change and a guide in the therapeutic process to assist you in removing obstacles, gaining clarity of mind, and strengthening the self.
As a white-identifying, cisgender woman, I am dedicated to the continued exploration of my own social location, the privileges it affords me, and how it affects our counseling relationship. As your counselor, your emotional safety is the most important thing to me. It is vital that we openly and consistently name and discuss issues resulting from differences in social location and culture as they arise. I am committed to holding your experience in the world and your truth with humility, compassion, and curiosity.
I have worked in the mental health field for more than ten years as a Skills Trainer for youth and young adults. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics.
