Madison Beasley, PMHNP

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Pronouns: He/Him

I’m Madison, a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with 7 years of clinical experience. My nursing career began in critical care where I noticed a lack of understanding and sometimes compassion when in came to treating people with mental illness and delirium. I found that helping patients who were suffering mentally, as well as physically, was particularly fulfilling and this led me to pursue a master’s degree specializing in psychiatry and mental health.

As a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner I use a combination of brief psychotherapy and medication management to help you get back to a state of mental health and well-being. My therapeutic approach is friendly, humanistic, and existentialist while the approach to medication management is evidence-based and up to date, striving to include the patient in shared decision making. I treat adults age 18 and older. My services are best suited to those who need treatment for anxiety, trauma-related issues, depression, mood swings, psychosis, substance abuse, and psychiatric issues in aging.

I have a master’s degree in nursing from Colorado State University-Pueblo and bachelor’s degrees in nursing, philosophy, and psychology. My clinical experience includes inpatient, outpatient, and corrections work.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with family, getting out on the trail or the slopes, and cooking/eating delicious food from around the world.
